Felicia Vincent's Stanley says goodbye
Well boys and girls the time has come for Stanley to go back to Mrs. Hewitt's classroom and tell you all about his visit with me. I had a lot of fun taking Stanley around my home town. Even though we are a small community, I think it is a beautiful place to live! I hope you enjoy learning about my hometown as much as enjoyed sharing it with you.
From snowboarding, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing , snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and much more in the winter to boating, quading, fishing, camping, motocross, hiking and a lot more in the summer Chetwynd is a marvelous playground all year round!
We are a rich community in natural resources, oil and gas, and forestry are the major ones. We provide a lot of lumber and power to the United Stated!

Felicia Vincent's Stanley finds spring in Chetwynd!
Hello boys and girls, hope that you are all having lots of fun at school and learning new things too! Well things looked pretty brown when I first arrived in Chetwynd, but it looks like spring is finally here! LOL We can see lots more green and I found some color too! Beautiful flowers at the local greenhouse! Had lots of fun helping David and his mom pick some for their garden.

Felicia Vincent's Stanley Visits the Chetwynd Public Library
I had a chance to visit the Chetwynd Public Library, and what a pleasure it was! I met Wormsworth, the library's mascot! What a cutie he is!
The library has a warm and friendly atmosphere. What I also found interesting was their Books n Bytes Internet Bistro! Its right inside the library. You can come in during your lunch break, order lunch check your emails, browse the internet or grab a book to read while you eat your lunch!
The library has programs going all year for every age group, from babies to elders there is something for everyone.
One of the events that I thought was very cool, is called Helloo Babies. This event takes place once a year, the library invites all the babies born that year to a grand party to introduce them and their parents to the library and books! There is cake and games and lots of fun and the babies go home with some new books! And hopefully their love for books and knowledge starts right there!

Felicia Vincent's Stanley - 10th Annual Chetwynd International Chainsaw Carving Championship
Hello boys and girls, the Chetwynd international Chainsaw Carving Championship will be starting soon, June 12-15, 2014 and I thought Mrs. Hewitt's class might like to follow the carvers progress and see what masterpieces they create this year! Plus as you can see in the advertisement, this year we have one carver coming from your very own MASSACHUSETTS, USA! So follow Mr. Ken Packie to see what he makes out of a big log!

Felicia Vincent's Stanley at the saw mill
At this mill logs turn into lumber, which will likely be used in the construction of a family home in the USA! the lumber yard was almost full! There were lots of logs out there boys and girls!
This is one of the main industries in Chetwynd,BC, Canada.
Oil , gas (that is were Felicia's uncle works, at one of the gas plants), forestry, farming and tourism are the main industries in Chetwynd.

Well boys and girls today I got to go to water fit at the pool! I met Mr. Froggy and went down the little slide, oops almost got wet!
Hope that all the other Stanleys are having fun too! Can't wait to hear all about their stories!
